We don’t find the alternate Washington Commanders logo acceptable or appropriate. They are backsliding from the correct decision to stop the Native American cultural appropriation.. From the definitions we have seen of a commander, it is a naval rank or a generic term for an officer commanding any armed forces unit like: a platoon commander, brigade commander, or squadron commander. The spear on their helmet has no place with the new name and brand.
